Some amazing fathers share their physical, mental, and emotional experience in the delivery room as part of our Dads in Delivery Campaign.

An open space and story telling series created by Dear Fathers for Black Women to share stories about their black fathers and the impact the relationship has left on them.

Be patient. Also ask questions. None of us, (including our fathers), has this thing called fatherhood completely figured out. We are all collectively learning and trying to improve everyday.

What you lack in experience, I guarantee you will make up for in love. Strive to do and be a better man and father. Do it for yourself and in turn, you will learn that it goes hand in hand with being a better father.

My advice here is really simple. Be intentional and be flexible! Don’t allow your child’s upbringing, life lessons, feelings, health, skillsets, or anything else be by chance or coincidence. Talk to other dad’s, read, listen, tap into resources available to you
